Myzone is calling on health and fitness operators to help its global community collectively achieve 10 million Myzone Effort Points (MEPs) on National Fitness Day 2026.
The 10 Million MEPs Global Challenge will take place on Wednesday 16 September, with every MEP earned by participating Myzone users contributing towards the overall target.
The initiative is designed to encourage participation across all forms of physical activity, including walking, running, swimming, strength training and group exercise, both inside and outside the gym.
Operators are being encouraged to use their existing classes and activities as part of the challenge, as well as setting club-level MEP targets, organising team workouts and sharing progress with members throughout the day.
Jay Worthy, CEO of Myzone, said: 'Ten million MEPs is a huge target but it’s one we can reach if operators everywhere get behind it.
'This is a chance for the global fitness industry to come together and use ukactive’s National Fitness Day as a platform to effect positive change and get more people moving. We’re asking operators to rally their teams, activate their members and help us show what happens when a global fitness community moves together.'
Participating Myzone users will receive an invitation to join the challenge through the Myzone app in the two weeks leading up to National Fitness Day.
Operators will also be able to promote the challenge through social media, email, apps, in-club screens, staff communications and classes, while Myzone will provide campaign assets for participating facilities.
Cameron Saunders, CEO of ukactive, said: 'National Fitness Day is about inspiring people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to be more active, and our sector is the engine room behind this.
'By setting a common goal, Myzone’s 10 Million MEPs Global Challenge provides a great way for operators to encourage people to get involved on the day and carry this momentum forwards into their daily lives.'
National Fitness Day is organised by ukactive and takes place this year on 16 September.
