LTA launches Weather the Court campaign to encourage winter play

The LTA has launched a new campaign to encourage people to play tennis throughout the winter, whatever the weather.

The organisation’s new Weather the Court campaign will reward players who are brave enough to face the elements, with prizes.

Britain is known for its unpredictable and unforgiving weather, and with the winter months bringing shorter days, the LTA wants to encourage player to get outside and continue the sport all-year round.

By sharing pictures or videos on social media and tagging their location, and using the hashtag #WeatherTheCourt, players can win Decathlon vouchers, tennis kit freebies and other great prizes.

The LTA also provides tips on how to play in the winter and keep safe.
